This is my new video in which I get very real with you guys. It’s important to me to share my ups as well as my downs. I don’t know if I’ve discussed my struggle with my weight here before, but my self-esteem has really been affected by it. I feel ugly in everything I wear and wearing form-fitting clothes is out of the question. I also talk about my social anxiety in the video. While it’s not a fun and exciting video, I hope you all get to know me a bit better. I’m vulnerable at times. I am not a robot.
I decided to film an OOTD (or Outfit of the Day) video this past weekend. I actually took the time to put a cool outfit together and I wanted to share. This post was supposed to go up over the weekend, but my seven year old laptop finally died. 😦 It’s completely understandable, since it was so old. That’s the only computer I’ve personally owned. Many memories with that thing. And my whole life was on it. Alas, fresh starts are always good. It’s difficult to edit videos when your computer moves at dinosaur speed and things keep crashing. Looking forward to getting a new laptop soon! Until then, I’ll just have to use my work laptop. I don’t actually have any work to do, but that’s a story for another day.
I hope you guys enjoy the video!
I’m really on a roll with making videos! In this one, I read my creepy short story “Corsets and Crossbones” while wearing my Poe shirt. I thought it was fitting.
As I appear to be on a video kick, I wanted to ask you guys if you like them? Are they entertaining? I’m definitely still going to write legitimate blog posts moving forward, but I’m really having fun with the videos as well. You can now see how crazy I actually am!
Until next time,
Check out my new video in which I recite one of my favorite poems I’ve ever written, “Teatime”! Shoutout to MissMoogleUK83 for the suggestion to share some of my writing through videos. Brilliant idea, girl!
Let me know if you guys have any ideas for future videos. I love requests!
I’m thrilled to announce the start of my very own Youtube channel! This is actually a birthday present to myself, even though it’s a little late (my birthday was September 16). I’m always telling others to challenge themselves and conquer their fears. It was high time for me to do something I’ve wanted to do for so long. I may realize that making videos is not for me. But, at least I’m giving it a try. This is probably the most personal thing I’ve ever done. I’m really proud of myself. I’m growing as a soul and it’s so rewarding. I hope everyone enjoys the video! I think my dry wit and sass have been conveyed accurately. lol
Bunny Meyer (Grav3yardgirl on Youtube) is the sassiest beauty vlogger around. She hails from the swamps of Texas and loves all things creepy, from graveyards and ghosts to strange old photographs. Bunny’s Christmas tree is even Halloween themed, which is something I would do. She loves beauty and fashion as well, but Bunny isn’t your typical beauty guru. She’ll be the first to admit that she doesn’t think she’s talented with makeup. Bunny surely breaks the mold with her goofy antics and alligator obsession.
Along with her lovable personality, I admire Bunny’s fashion sense. I would love to raid her closet and
steal borrow all of the cool clothes she owns. Bunny shares my skull and spike obsession. Some would say she’s a hipster, but Bunny’s style could be anything from Grunge to Nu Goth depending on the day. She finds the best stuff from thrift stores. And she alters a lot of the things she buys to make them even more epic. DIY makes anything better.
For Halloween last year, she dressed as a Victorian insane asylum escapee…um soulmates? Yayus! That’s how we do it on the swamp!
I can really relate to the story behind Bunny’s Youtube channel. She suffers from anxiety and depression, which is nothing new for me. Before making videos, Bunny used to jump in her car and drive around for extended periods of time in the middle of the night when her anxiety would surface. That’s clearly not a healthy coping mechanism. So, a friend suggested Bunny should start making videos to quell her anxiety. It worked and Bunny’s been at it ever since. I, too, find that creativity drives away my depression and anxiety. That’s really why I started this blog. Okay, I also started blogging as an excuse to post sexay photos of myself, but that’s not the point…;-)
Bunny encourages individuality and acceptance among her fans, known as the Swamp Family. She embraces her flaws and quirks without hesitation. Bunny is an awesome role model with a stunning collection of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. She’s certainly inspired me to stay strange and keep it extra sassy. And to never ever be ashamed of drinking tea like a Muppet. I use her lingo all the time in real life and no one ever gets the references. It’s all good because I just come off super original. Yay for Bunny!
Just a few of my favorite youtubers…
jhermbaby – She’s so real and cool. And her mom is hawt.
DannyNoriega – He pulls off the chola persona better than all the other putas.
SebastianTheGirl – Cute goth girl educating the masses about what goth is all about.
msashleesoflyy – She was Myspace famous and now it doesn’t matter. But, she’s hilarious.
AdoraBatBrat – The alternative Martha Stewart goth from Sweden. Can you believe she’s 39 and has 3 kids?!
